For decades weve been told that fat is detrimental to our health. Meanwhile low-fat diet products, often full of sugar, have flooded supermarket shelves. This has been a major mistake, that coincided with the start of the obesity epidemic.
How does it work? When you avoid sugar and starches, your blood sugar stabilizes and the levels of the fat-storing hormone insulin drop. This increases fat burning and makes you feel more satiated, reducing food intake and causing weight loss.

What is Keto? And why is it magic?

Keto is short for a ketogenic way of eating. There are therapeutic ketogenic diets that can be beneficial for the treatment of epilepsy, cancer, and other ailments, but the purpose and focus of this site is Nutrional Ketosis.

Keto is a low carb, moderate protein, and high healthy fats way of eating. Keto is designed to change the fuel your body uses from sugar (glucose) to fat. Once you switch to being a fat burner....the magic begins!

So what is this magic I speak of? Aches and pains eliminated (for many within the first week), acid reflux gone, lower blood pressure, better lipids panels (we've been lied to about cholesterol), type 2 diabetes reversal (yep, you read that right), and more!

A keto diet is well known for being a low carb diet, where the body produces ketones in the liver to be used as energy. Its referred to as many different names  ketogenic diet, low carb diet, low carb high fat (LCHF), etc.

When you eat something high in carbs, your body will produce glucose and insulin.
